Xpeng has officially taken the wraps off the Mona L03 fastback SUV in China, showcasing both battery-electric (BEV) and extended-range electric (EREV) variants. The vehicle is slated to make its full debut in July 2026. This model marks the second entry in Xpeng’s mass-market Mona lineup.

The first Mona series vehicle, the M03 liftback, launched in August 2024 and quickly became a sales hit. Within 52 minutes of opening orders, it generated over 10,000 firm commitments. According to data from China EV DataTracker, Xpeng delivered 272,077 units of the M03 to Chinese customers between August 2024 and May 2026. A key factor behind this strong performance is the competitive price range of 119,800 to 151,800 yuan (approximately 17,680 to 22,410 USD).

In April 2026, the second Mona model—the L03 fastback crossover—surfaced during China’s MIIT homologation process. By late June 2026, Xpeng confirmed the vehicle’s upcoming premiere by releasing its first official images. The Mona L03 is scheduled to debut in July, with a market launch planned later this year.

The Mona M03 liftback has already been confirmed as a global model set to reach foreign markets. This raises the possibility that the L03 fastback SUV will also be offered internationally, potentially boosting Xpeng’s sales outside China.

The Xpeng Mona M03 crossover

The Xpeng Mona L03 is a compact SUV measuring 4650 mm in length, 1920 mm in width, and 1600 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2850 mm. It adopts the design language of the Mona M03 liftback, featuring T-shaped headlights and a sloped bonnet. However, the L03 introduces practical semi-hidden door handles and a single taillight strip. Additional highlights include an active front air intake and vivid brake calipers. Depending on the trim, the vehicle rides on R18 or R20 wheels.

The curb weight of the Xpeng Mona M03 ranges from 1855 to 1875 kg. The BEV version uses a single electric motor producing 183 kW (245 hp), paired with two LFP battery options: 56 kWh and 69 kWh. Under CLTC conditions, the M03 offers a range between 505 km and 650 km. The EREV variant shares the same electric motor but adds a 1.5-liter engine generating 70 kW (94 hp). In electric-only mode, this variant can travel up to 257 km.
