New spy images of the upcoming BYD Fang Cheng Bao Ti9—also referred to as the Tai 9 SUV—have leaked online, offering the clearest look yet at its interior. According to Y-Auto, the photos reveal what appears to be the group’s first continuous-screen layout stretching across the dashboard. The model is expected to launch in the second half of 2026, as confirmed by General Manager Xiong Tianbo.
The horizontal continuous screen merges the driver’s display, infotainment system, and passenger screen into one seamless panel. This marks a departure from the independent floating touchscreens used in earlier BYD models and aligns the Ti9 with luxury family SUV trends. Spy shots also show minimalist console lines beneath protective black masking, along with premium upgrades such as independent rear passenger entertainment displays and a high-end Devialet audio system.
The full-size cabin can be configured with five, six, or seven seats, with the third row folding completely flat into the floor to maximize cargo space—ideal for long-distance travel.

Under the skin, the flagship SUV pairs a 2.0T turbocharged engine with dual high-output electric motors in a plug-in hybrid setup. The system delivers a combined output of 550 kW and 760 N·m of torque. It uses second-generation Blade batteries for thermal stability and benefits from flash-charging technology to reduce downtime at charging stations. This high-voltage architecture mirrors that of the related BYD Great Tang crossover, which starts at 298,639 yuan (about 43,900 USD) in China. Exterior highlights include split headlight clusters and automated electric side steps.
Fang Cheng Bao has maintained solid momentum in the domestic market. The popular Ti7 (also called Tai 7) led deliveries with 17,510 units sold in May 2026, accounting for 66.4% of the sub-brand’s sales. According to China EV DataTracker, the compact Ti3 recorded 6,086 deliveries, the rugged Bao 8 reached 2,296 units, and the high-end Bao 8 sports utility model registered 469 sales.
